What we keep, and why.

Lightbound Limited (company no. 14573199, 30A Commercial Street, Harrogate, HG1 1AX) runs this site and decides how this data is used.

Applications

When you apply to join Constellation or for a Gauss plan, ask about Gauss for Education, or ask about a workshop for your team, we keep what you type into the form (name, email, organisation or role, an optional link, your message, and for Gauss for Education your university, role and course) so a person can review it. Applications are deleted automatically 180 days after they arrive.

Accounts

If we approve you, or you start a plan, we keep your email address, name, organisation, your plan (Gauss or Gauss for Education) and its billing state, whether you've asked us to set up Gauss Argo and when we sent it, your Constellation membership and group-call bookings, your time zone if you set one, and where your pilot is up to, for as long as you have an account. If you start the free student plan, we also record that you confirmed you're a student, and when.

Opportunities for members

Constellation members see accelerators, hackathons, grants and calls ranked against their interests. Until you save your own interests, we suggest them by looking for keywords in what you wrote on your Constellation application, while we still hold it. The matching runs on our own service; your words are never shown on the page or sent to anyone. When you save interests, we keep just those choices (such as "Earth observation" or "Founders and startups") with your account, and you can change or clear them at any time. The listings come from public sources (UKRI, the UK Space Agency and the Spaceflight News API) and from programmes our team tracks; opening a link takes you to that organisation's own site.

Signing in

Sign-in to the Gauss workspace is handled by Cloudflare Access: it emails you a one-time code and sets a sign-in cookie for the workspace only. We don't use passwords, advertising or analytics cookies, or trackers.

Payments

Gauss plans, Gauss for Education and optional Constellation contributions are paid through Stripe, on Stripe's own pages. Stripe tells us whether a payment succeeded and gives us a reference for your billing account; your card or bank details never reach Lightbound. Stripe keeps payment records as the law requires.

Who processes it

The site and its data run on Cloudflare. Payments run on Stripe. Launch and space-weather data come from public sources (The Space Devs, NOAA), and event listings from our public Luma calendar; none of them contain anything about you.
